You stand there in the market and look at the display case wondering if you should spend the extra $$ for the brown eggs because they must be better, right? Sorry to drop some science and burst your marketing-inspired perception, brown and white eggs are exactly the same except for the color.

White eggs are produced by white-feathered chickens or chickens that have white earlobes. All other chickens, like these beauties, lay brown eggs, but there are chickens that lay speckled, blue, green, and many other variations of eggs.
